Two Roman coins: a denarius and a sestertius of Hadrian. Both found before 1868.
<2> County Historic Environment Record, 1973-1985, Cheshire Archaeological Bulletin, No.1 p.5 1973 (Journal/Periodical). SCH565.
Recorded in a notebook once belonging to H J Bellows, City Librarian until 1868 and seen at the Grosvenor Museum in December 1969: "From Rev W.H. Massie: AR Hadrian - 1B Hadrian - Eccleston near road". Possibly strays from the Eccleston Hoard.
