Full Description

Bronze Age perforated axe hammer in July 1984, at Kings Marsh near Churton. The axe hammer was stuck point downwards in the ground. Length-192mm; breadth-90mm; thickness-58mm (butt) and 73mm (cutting edge). Weight-1850gm. Identified as siltstone, possibly from the Coal Measures of the Welsh border area. Identified by and donated to Liverpool Museum (1)
