<1> Portable Antiquities Scheme, Various, Portable Antiquities Data Import, LVPL1781 (Digital Archive). SCH5212.
Crossbow type. Arched bow, trapezoidal in section with rib near its base. The foot is missing. The frontal face of the arms has a scalloped leading edge. The knobs are large and of typical 'onion' shape of the fully developed type, the knob on one of the arms is missing. The remaining knob is pieced off centre to accommodate the axis bar (missing). The pin of the hinge mechanism is missing.
