Summary

The White House is a Grade II listed former farmhouse, now used as a house. The majority of the building dates from the eighteenth century, though parts of the building date from the seventeenth century. Further alterations were made in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

Formerly farmhouse now a house: partly early seventeenth century, mainly early eighteenth century with nineteenth and twentieth century alterations. Washed and rendered timber framing and washed brick, Welsh slate roof and three brick chimneys. One and three-storey, four-bay front. Left end bay of one-storey is timber framed and has a three-light casements, two under segmental brick heads and the top ones inserted in an attic storey. Central bay of this portion has a gabled porch with a brick arched entrance. Interior: reported to have exposed timber framing and ceiling beams and a squint window between the kitchen in the single storey portion and the main house.
