Full Description
Wrexham Road Farmhouse & farmbuildings. 1880 by John Douglas for 1st Duke of Westminster. Stone-dressed brown brick with half-timbered dormer gables to haylofts, red tile roofs. 3-bay farmhouse, central bay projects. Flemish gables with balls at eaves. Iron casements in large stone-mullioned openings. Covered passage links to farm buildings which are grouped round a 3-sided court. 2 drifthouses (barns flanking covered way). Octagonal stair turret capped by small, spired, boarded dovecote. Farm buildings include shippons, haylofts, barn, cartshed and stabling (1).
