Full Description
Brereton Park Farmhouse, Park Lane, Brereton Park. Dated 1683 with early C19 alterations and late C20 porch. Irregular bond orange brick with washed sandstone dressings. Welsh slate roof and one central T-plan ridge chimney. Two-storey, symmetrical three-bay west front. Brick plinth. Flush stone quoins and cyma-moulded stone band at first floor. Iron casements. Central pair of glazed doors under segmental brick head, behind simple gabled porch. Diamond-shaped datestone above reads WOE 1683. Interior: Lobby entry with room to either side of central stack. Room to right has inglenook fireplace with heavy bressumer. Spice cupboard and cupboard above inglenook inscribed WEO 1683. Heavy ceiling beam with bead mould. Full architectural description (1).
