Full Description
Parish boundary stone. Semicircular headed stone block inscribed 'M' for Macclesfield and dated '1849' (1).
Sandstone boundary stone with semi-circular head sited on the pavement against a 3-storey 19th century building now occupied by wholesale electrical distributors. The stone measures 0.63m high by 0.3m wide by 0.12m thick. The face has been damaged, chipped and knocked and a blue spot has been painted over the inscribed 'M 1849'. The blue spot on the stone corresponds to the spot on the water stop valve cover in front of it. (2 & 3)
