Full Description
Boundary stone. Dated 1789. Stone block with shaped curved head inscribed S for Sutton on one face, and M for Macclesfield on the other, the date now partly buried in the ground (1).
Worn sandstone block with semi-circular head inscribed 'M 1789' (for Macclesfield) on the northwest face and 'S' for Sutton on the southeast face. Stone reset within the paved frontage of No. 69 Peel Street. The boundary stone is within private property (2 & 3).
