Summary

Stone House Farmhouse, Tilston Lane is a Grade II listed building. It was built in the late 17th century with periods of alteration and extension in the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. It is built of rubble sandstone with gray slate roofs. It is an L-shaped building with a rear wing of two storeys. The front has a Roman Doric doorcase with attached columns and pediment. There are stone flush-mullioned windows to the basement and wood and iron Gothic windows to lower and upper storeys. The interior has been largely reworked.

Stone House Farmhouse, Tilston Lane. Late C17, altered and extended C18, altered C19 and extended C20. Red squared snecked rubble sandstone, gray slate roofs. Two storeys. L-shaped with rear wing of two storeys, probably C18. Mid C20 flat-roofed single-storey extension behind house. Front has Roman Doric doorcase with attached columns and pediment. Stone flush-mullioned windows to basement, wood and iron Gothic windows to lower and upper storeys. Interior: largely reworked. A stopped ovolo beam in right room.
