Full Description
Middle Beachin Farmhouse, Beachins Lane. Early C17, cased in brick, probably late C18 and with ad hoc alterations. Local irregular brick, slate gabled roofs. Double pile; two-storey front of three windows, three-storey rear. Wing at right, probably late C18, projects forwards. Entrance porch, probably early C19. Small-pane replacement windows. Gable chimney at front of right wing. Two chimneys on each ridge. Interior: Inglenook fireplace behind lobby entrance. The front part has several chamfered oak beams of early C17 type, some stopped and small-framing (with some wattle & daub exposed) to internal walls. Full architectural description (1).
