Full Description
Par Green Hall, Tilston Road. Farmhouse, early C17, cased in brick early C19. Brown brick with pale headers to front. Parts of small framing are visible on rear gable right and restored on right end. Grey slate roof. Two storeys. Central portion has cross-wing at each end. Lobby entrance with massive ridge chimney of sandstone behind. Interior: Stair inserted between entrance lobby and inglenooks. The left inglenook, of sandstone with oak beam, is modified; the right inglenook is concealed by partition. Quarry tile roof in right room; Minton tile floor in left room. Stopped ovolo chamfered beam of oak in left room; between a chamfered oak beam and a cased beam in the right room are broad, shallow joists of oak of early C17 type; between the chamfered beam and the front wall are oak joists of vertical proportions, probably late C17.
