Full Description
Wesleyan Methodist Chapel built in 1850 by James Simpson of Leeds, to supersede Bank Street Chapel (CSMR 438/19/0). Built of red brick with stone dressings. Vestries were added 1854, ministers' houses 1856, Sunday School and chapel-keeper's house, 1884. The original two-decker pulpit was replaced by a large rostrum in 1900; the first organ, installed 1856, was replaced in 1907. Further architectural description in (1).
