Full Description
Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, now two cottages, 263 and 265 Padgate lane, was built in 1831 for a society which had formerley met in hired rooms; it was supseded in 1875 by the present chapel on a new site [CSMR 4497/2/0]. The walls are of brickwork and the roof slated. The North front has a central round-arched doorway with keystone and impost blocks and a fanlight; a second cottage door was inserted c.1875. The windows have flat-arched brick heads (1).
