Full Description
This chapel was built in 1823-4 by Samuel Greg, owner of Quarry Bank Mill [CSMR 2617/1/1] who appointed a Baptist minister. In 1833 a Unitarian minister succeeded to the charge who, from 1843, held the pastorate jointly with Dean Row. The chapel, which remained in Unitarian hands, was greatly altered in 1867. In 1979 it became the property of the National Trust, who own the whole village (1).
