Full Description
Memorial sundial: c.1870. Ashlar buff sandstone. 3 square steps support square base with hollow chamfered top. Chamfered shaft with a projecting cornice carries a square head with colonettes at the corners. 3 simple copper sundials on the west, south and east faces and on the north face, a plaque reading "IN REMEMBERANCE OF THE FOUNDERS OF DEAN ROW CHAPEL, CIRCA 1688". The cap imitates a tiled pyramidal roof (1).
