Full Description
Bridge Farm Farmhouse and attached Shippon. 1685, altered and attached shippon late C18. Irregular bond brown brick with stone dressings, slate roofs, probably later. Two brick chimneys on ridge. Two storeys with five bay front with central two storey gabled porch and large projecting gables at each end. Mid C19 iron casements in mullioned timber-frames. Semi- hexagon bay window to rear with hipped roof of shaped slates. Later open timber framed gabled porch after John Douglas. Datestone removed since Provisional List was compiled in 1960. Interior not inspected. Two storey shippon, attached to farmhouse, of brick with slate roof. Camber arched openings, sandstone hinge blocks, boarded doors, diabolo-shaped vents to hayloft.
