Full Description
Congregational Chapel built in 1829 to designs by Mr Stringer for the seceders from St George's Chapel [CSMR 1563/15/0]. After c1930 it became 'St Albans Parochial Hall' and has subsequently been altered for use by the Salvation Army. The walls are brick with ashlar front and the roof is hipped and slated. The front five bays have round-arched upper windows. The interior has been subdivided and no original fittings remain. Contemporary cast iron railings and gate piers stand adjacent to the street (1).
