Full Description
An extensive brickfield is recorded on the Ordnance Survey First edition map to the north of Chester Street at Saltney. The brickfield comprised a large area almost 300m in length from the roadside with a number of structures and two brick kilns towards the southern end of the field. The brickworks continued to operate throughout the early half of the 20th century and was recorded on the second and third edition maps, centred slightly more to the south. The brickworks by this point comprised a large kiln building and several ancillary structures.
