Full Description
According to (1) a reservoir feeding the Chester Canal (now part of the Shropshire Union) existed on or around Bunbury Heath in the 18th century, having been built around 1775-9. The reservoir was likely drained in 1782 (1). (2) suggests a position on the common for this reservoir on the basis of a soil mark, however this appears to be a brickfield (CSMR: 4338).
