Summary

Faint circular cropmark bisected by a single line. Possible windmill. Crusaders returning from mainland Europe are credited with the introduction of windmills in Britain and they were many operating by the end of the 12th century. There are no surviving examples of medieval windmills.

Faint circular cropmark bisected by a single line. Possible windmill site at Miners Heath, south-east of Waverton (1).
