Tannery marked on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 25 inch to 1 mile - Lancashire Maps. The site is marked as a Hide Yard, it is unknown as to whether there is a difference between this and the Tan Yards and Tanneries marked in other places. It is also marked on the Second and Third Edition Ordnance Survey 6 inch to 1 mile Cheshire Maps.
