Tannery marked on the AD1876 town map of Northwich. It is also marked on the First, Second and Third Edition Ordnance Survey 6 inch to 1 mile Cheshire Maps, as well as the First Edition Ordnance Survey 25 inch to 1 mile Cheshire Maps. The map also shows several tanks that are probably some of the Tanning Pits [CSMR: 2515/2/1]
