Description
Archaeological monitoring and recording and a supervised metal detector survey were undertaken during groundworks associated with the construction of a new single dwelling on land to the rear of 3-4 Churton Road, Farndon, Cheshire CH3 6QR. The site is situated within an area identified as likely part of the medieval and/or early post-medieval settlement core. Post-medieval deposits were recorded and sporadic artefacts collected, including 18th to 20th century ceramics, but no significant structural features or earlier material were identified. (1)
