Description
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken in 2024 at Anderton Boat Lift, Northwich, on behalf of the Canal and River Trust during the installation of a new drainage system. The drainage trench, measuring 0.40m wide and 0.35m deep, was mostly hand excavated, and machine excavated where it crossed existing hardstanding. No features of archaeological significance were encountered during the watching brief. (1)
