Description
A double homestead moat, as described by E. Geary and D.A. Davies, it measures, overall, 180 metres east-west by 120 metres transversely. The site is largely wooded and in fair condition. Within the south-west corner of the moat, are three rectangular waterfilled medieval fishponds forming three sides of a square open to the east. The western pond measures twenty-eight metres by seven metres, the southern pond, fourteen metres by five metres, and the northern pond, being low in water, is of irregular shape, but approximates to the southern pond.
