Description
Brockhurst Hall, as it is now generally referred to, is an early nineteenth century house, now converted into three apartments. Outbuildings have been converted into living accommodation and additional properties have been built in close proximity to the hall. All are surrounded by well maintained grounds, retaining some mature trees and planted with specimen trees and shrubs. Since the late 1920s, housing development has gradually encroached on the remaining parkland and the estate farm; this is ongoing. The magnificent views that the hall once commanded over the Dane Valley and to the distant Pennines are now obstructed by housing.
