Description
An archaeological desk-based assessment of Bradley Hall, Appleton, Near Warrington, Cheshire, in advance of the submission of an application for Scheduled Ancient Monument Consent for works to replace an early 20th century extension to the farmhouse. The work requires the demolition and rebuilding on a ‘like for like’ basis of the extension and the excavation of new foundations to a depth of c. 1.2 m. The moat is a Scheduled Ancient Monument and as such has legal protection against disturbance. (1)
