Description
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken in 2022 during the groundworks associated with a new extension to the rear of Specsavers, 19 High Street, Nantwich, Cheshire CW5 5AH. The ground reduction works were undertaken within an area of made ground without the natural substrata or any archaeological levels being encountered during the works. As such no archaeological features were revealed. Two sherds of unstratified medieval green glazed red-grey ware dating between the 13th and 15th century were recovered from the excavated spoil. (1)
