Description
Heritage Assessment and Heritage Impact Assessment for a Grade II listed farm building.
Assessment includes the history, decription , photographic record and floor plans of the listed building.
Concludes that the Grade II listed building is probably of late-18th century date and represents the surviving portion of a once larger malting – and thus possibly the building that gave the farm its name.
The pair of barns to the south of the former malting by the modern farmhouse of Malt House
Farm do not appear, externally, to be of any particular interest but internally clear are – and
could date to the late-17th or 18th centuries. They cannot be considered to be curtilage listed because of the listing of the malting but are of sufficient import to be considered non- designated heritage assets.
