Description
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken in 2019 to monitor works relating to the re-routing of a pipeline - the pipeline which was above-ground was replaced by one below ground. The watching brief occurred during the topsoil strip in two areas on either side of the Llangollen Canal, just to the north-east of Swanley Hall. Disturbance from the initial construction of the pipeline and established hedgerows was prevalent in the working areas and no features or finds of archaeological significance were noted. (1)
