Site Event/Activity record ECH6693 - Heritage Statement: Pownall Park, Gorsey Road, Wilmslow

Heritage statement produced in 2019 in support of a proposal of a residential development at Pownall Park, Gorsey Road, Wilmslow. The application site forms part of the former walled kitchen garden to the grade II* listed Pownall Hall, now Pownall Hall School (to the north east) and is located proximate to the grade II listed Dower House. There is an associated listed building consent for repair works to the curtilage listed kitchen garden walls and reinstatement of a glasshouse. The land within the site is made up of hard standing and grassed areas and is largely concealed from public or other views by walls and planting. Walls remain to the north and west of the site. The remainder of the site is an open parcel of land to the south east of the former walled kitchen garden. There are no heritage assets within the Application Site. (1)
