Description

Site visit to Buttermilk Bank made 02/07/2018. The Holloway is at least in part a natural feature which the lane later followed. It is still probable that the lane deepened and widened the base of this feature. The site of Buttermilk Hall was clearly visible as a distinct area of level ground perched on a natural spur c.10m in diameter.
