Description
Excavation and recording of three trenches positioned to target relatively undisturbed areas of the site. Each trench differed in size but the combined area excavated was approximately 80m2.
Archaeology was only observed in one trench, and consisted of three railway sleepers from a former railway track, which entered the north-west corner of the site, and was associated
with the use of the site from the mid-19th century as a depot associated with the industrial expansion of the Newtown area of Chester.
