Description
Desk-based assessment and heritage statement undertaken in July 2017 for land on Academy Street, Warrington, comprising the former Kwik Save site and car park, in advance of development. The proposed development has potential to impact upon buried remains of archaeological interest including possible medieval burgage plots, late eighteenth century townhouses, Warrington Academy and later industrial buildings belonging to the late nineteenth century including a saw mill and the early twentieth century Gas Meter and Stove Works (later Wire Works).
