Site Event/Activity record ECH6351 - Geophysical Survey of Land to the West of Padgbury Lane, Congleton

Magnitude Surveys was commissioned to assess the subsurface archaeological potential of a c. 8.1 ha area of land at Padgbury Lane, Congleton, Cheshire. A cart-based fluxgate gradiometer survey was successfully completed and no anomalies of probable or possible archaeological origin were identified. The geophysical results primarily reflect modern and agricultural activity. A land drainage system dominates the eastern half of the survey area.
