Description
A geophysical survey was undertaken by AB Heritage to investigate a proposed Trackway at Land at Reaseheath College, Nantwich.
The survey has been requested in response to the requirements of Historic England, covering a proposed tractor access route through a Scheduled Monument (List Entry Number 1011228) in the lands of the Reaseheath College.
The purpose of this work was to understand the potential for any archaeological remains to survive within the site, and, where possible, identify the form, function and extent of any potential remains.
Overall the geophysical survey has identified high potential for the location of archaeological remains, likely relating to the already scheduled medieval moated site (Monument no: 1011228) to exist within close vicinity to the proposed route.
