Description
Archaeological evaluation undertaken in October 2013 in advance of development of a site on the eastern edge of the village of Farndon for residential purposes. The evaluation comprised the excavation of two trenches, each measuring 50m long by 1.5m wide, also a watching brief. The trenches were located to investigate rectangular features showing on air photographs daing to 1947. Nothing of archaeological significance was recorded and it is probable that the features represent former marl pits. (1)
