Trench excavated in 1999 to investigate an anomaly shown on an earlier geophysical survey which may indicate a rectangular structure running lengthways east to west in the North of the Bailey.
A single trench 6x8 m was located over the south eastern corner of the resistivity anomaly. The whole of the excavation was carried out by hand. Finds reports on pottery, bone and small finds.
