Description
Watching brief on re-erection of a medieval cross base. The cross sits on a new base
(200mm thick) which has been inserted into the non-archaeologically sensitive topsoil and has
been firmly fixed into the base.
No archaeological deposits were disturbed during this process and there was no damage to the
cross base. Photographs of the installation process are attached.
