Description
A field visit made during the installation of new field drains in Engine Meadow. The visit was made when all the new trenches were open. It was apparent that there were two previous attempts to drain the field. Two different sizes of drain pipe from pre-existing field drains were observed, as was the earlier horseshoe and flat tile type. There was no evidence of the salt works in this location.
