Description
The objectives of the Watching Brief were to locate, identify and record anything of
archaeological importance. Excavation revealed a build up of modern layers and tips, with
evidence of the re-landscaping of the formal to lawned gardens. To the north of the site,
several sandstone and brick walls relating to the 20th century outbuildings were identified.
