Description
A programme of archaeological works at a development site located on Adlington Road, Wilmslow, Cheshire East in response to a planning condition. In total, 9 trial trenches were excavated, measuring a total length of 234m (x 1.5m wide) to target a potential kiln and potential medieval street frontage to Adlington Road – neither of which was identified.
Archaeological remains of low significance comprising a small brick structure, a trackway, and ditches of one or more former field systems were identified within the site boundary.
