Description
Archaeological assessment and survey of the garden at Quarry Bank House, Styal near Wilmslow was undertaken by Mark Fletcher during July and August 2007. This work was comissioned by the National Trust in advance of proposed restoration work by the National Trust. The garden originally extended across an area of 3.4 hectares on the north bank of the River Bollin in a wooded gorge. Quarry Bank House stands in the South East corner of the Garden. Both the Garden and House were acquired by the National Trust in 2007.
