Description
Assessment to determine the significance of an outbuilding at Frog Hall Farm which would be demolished as part of a proposed development at the site. Assessment carrried out to the methodology on the IFA Standard and Guidance for the Archaeological Investigation and Recording of Standing Buildings or Structures. The assessment identitifed that the outbuilding is of local significance as a reflection of its constrcution to complement the original Frog Hall. However its significance is affected by the loss of its status and setting when the hall was demolished in the 1960s, as well as substantial alterations ( a replacement roof, creation of a first storey and changes to the internal layout with additional openings inserted without consideration of the design of the structure) and poor survival of original fabric and features.
