Research and recording carried out by the Cheshire Gardens Trust at Ravenscroft Hall, Byley. This site is private property and is not open to the public.
Summary
A house of 1837 with extensions of 1852-77, listed Grade II, with elements remaining of 19th century gardens, woodland and parkland damaged during and after WWII. The gardens c. 1837 may have incorporated an earlier kitchen garden/orchard. A sale in 1938 separated the Hall from the estate. The house and gardens are now in divided ownership.
