Description
Record for a group of 16 coins found in close proximity during one of the Townley Farm metal detecting rallies. They all apparently have typical British corrosion. Amongst the group are three unusual coins from the Eastern Mediterranean; a nummus of Constantius II or Constans from Constantinople, 348-51; a decanummium of Justinian I from Constantinople 542-9; an Islamic coin prob c.750-900.
