Description
Two areas were surveyed to the south of Fishpool Road Farm, Delamere, Cheshire. Area 1 was over the position of a now destroyed round barrow, once part of the Seven Lows Barrow Group. Area 2 was over the location of a building recorded on the Third Edition Ordnance Survey map.
A circular anomaly, which may mark the remains of the flattened round barrow, was recorded in the Resistivity survey; however, the Fluxgate Gradiometer survey proved to be less successful recording only ferromagnetic responses which are assumed to be relatively modem. The Fluxgate Gradiometer survey of Area 2 failed to locate the building; however, a large ferromagnetic response may be a related to the hearth of the building.
