Description
A programme of light conservation work at Bickerton Hill, to address the issue of ongoing erosion on the outside edge of the outer rampart at a location about 15m south of the main entrance of the fort. An 8m section of the rampart was suffering from erosion due to the effects of rabbits burrowing into softer material within the rampart. The eroded face was cleaned, recorded, and spoil was used to repair the bank of the rampart (1).
