Description
The site has survived as one of the few undeveloped 'Crofts' as recorded by the tithe in 1838 and is part of an earlier medieval field pattern. The site appears to have been used as pastureland since at least the early 1800s. The report shows the potential for unknown archaeological remains to exist on any undeveloped site in the environs of Tarvin. It is not known whether the site has been metal detected and it is possible chance finds may be recovered particularly from the Roman period in view of the road passing c0.7 km to the north.
