Description

Further archaeological evaluation comprising eight test pits at Abbey Gate College, Saighton. The work was designed to investigate the potential for medieval remains associated with abbey grange. Wall footings associated with the medieval grange were identified in the western half of the site. Later features of an 18th and 19th century date were also encountered.
